Vinovius is a specialist consultancy to the construction industry, focused on strengthening commercial outcomes on complex projects.
We operate across two areas: providing experienced commercial and planning professionals into live projects where teams are under pressure, and advising on claims, disputes and commercial strategy where the financial stakes are material.
Our work is carried out discreetly alongside Commercial Directors, Project Leads and Planning teams, often within commercially sensitive or regulated environments. We operate selectively, where commercial position materially matters.

Greg O'Connell MCIOB | Managing Director
Greg founded Vinovius in 2023 and leads the business operationally — managing resource deployment, client relationships and the overall delivery of engagements across the portfolio.
His career spans over two decades in construction, progressing through senior engineering and project management roles at Laing O'Rourke and Sir Robert McAlpine across major education, healthcare and infrastructure programmes. This background gives him a grounded understanding of how complex projects are run and where commercial and programme risk typically accumulates.
At Vinovius, Greg's focus is on ensuring the right resource is in the right place, and that engagements are structured to deliver a clear, proportionate outcome for the client.
Greg is based in Durham and operates across the UK and internationally.
Ben O'Connell | Commercial Director
Ben is the commercial and technical lead at Vinovius, driving the analytical and advisory work across claims, delay analysis and embedded project support.
His career spans over two decades at some of the leading contractors and consultancies in the sector. He developed his commercial and programme management capability across major infrastructure at Laing O'Rourke, before serving as Commercial Manager on the Crossrail Bond Street Station project at Skanska. He subsequently worked at Systech International, the specialist disputes and advisory consultancy, supporting clients across complex construction and infrastructure projects.
At Vinovius, Ben leads on the substance of engagements; the technical analysis, claims strategy, commercial narratives and forensic planning work. He works directly with project teams and legal practices to establish clear, evidenced and defensible positions.
Ben is based in London and operates across the UK and internationally.
